“I love Jean Georges in New York. Any restaurant that caramelizes cauliflower is a hit in my book. I also always love an invitation to Per Se. And when I’m in the mood for a good burger, you’ll find me in line at Shake Shack.”

I Always Order a…
“I don’t drink, but the Mandarin Hotel’s Lobby Lounge in New York has a great white hot chocolate. I also love their Half Circle drink: it’s pomegranate and pineapple juice mixed with sprite.”

Most Challenging Part of your Job
“After 11 years at the magazine, our goal remains to keep people engaged. Like every publication, we realize the importance of having digital components (which we have). I hope there will never be a time when people don’t want to pick up a magazine. So for now, our job is to make them want to. As for CBS, we’re just getting started. I’ll let you know the challenges in a month or two!”

Cause You Support
“The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa. I was there when it was just an idea on paper, and now this year the first class of girls is going to graduate. That’s incredible, especially because in most cases, those girls come from backgrounds that would be considered below the poverty line in our country.”
